Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.

Sam was experiencing a little lonely. He wanted to have a new friend to play with. One day, while he was running in the park, he saw something interesting. It was a little creature with colorful scales. Sam slowly went up to the creature read more and said, "Hello! What's your name?" The creature smiled and told Sam, "You can call me Lily!" And so, Sam made a new mate. They spent the rest of the day laughing together.
Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be best friends forever.
